My first suspicion when stuff like this happens is the video card. Can you easily substitute/test another video card? Thanks for the suggestion. Before you go and buy yourself a new videocard, I'd suggest you open your computer and remove dust and dirt from the heatsink on both your CPU and graphic card.

Try running a hardware diagnostics program which will test your graphics subsystem. It could be that your graphics card or driver is damaged.
